Hi Friends,

For a while now, I've been an Ambassador for World Bicycle Relief; an organization providing access to independence and livelihood through The Power of Bicycles. This summer, I've committed to raising enough money to put 20 Buffalo Bicycles in the hands of students in Africa. The bikes are specially designed and locally assembled for students, healthcare workers and entrepreneurs in rural Africa; connecting them with education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.

In June of 2016, I was fortunate enough to take a trip to Zambia to see the kind of work that WBR is doing in the field.  I got to see first hand the impact that WBR has on students, healthcare workers, and entrepreneurs alike.  Receiving a bicycle from WBR in Zambia is the difference between a 2 hour walking commute to school or 30 minutes riding.  It's the difference between selling 40L of milk to the dairy co-op or selling 80L.  It's the difference between someone getting their Antiretroviral medications or getting sicker from an HIV infection.  Truly, these bikes change lives.

The bikes we raise money for here will be part of World Bicycle Relief's current efforts to provide bicycles to students (70% girls), teachers, and educational workers in rural parts of Africa. For $147, we can provide a World Bicycle Relief bicycle to a student in need. Every donation (of any amount) helps.

Thanks so much!
